Macy's Fashion Week 2011

It is that time again and I am sooo excited to tell you that Macy's is having their Fashion Show again and I can not wait!! We all know we all love fashion and what is coming up for the spring and summer season. Macy's is great place to start for your new pieces in your warbrobe because they have everything you can think of and we can see how to put some of your new favorites together to look like you just walked off the runway.

I know I have a love for shopping and all the coors, styles just warm my heart when I walk by them. I normally picture myself in the outfits and where I would wear them. I have a little story in my head for each outfit, i might be the only one that does that but that what I love so much about clothes because one shirt, skirt or amazing pair of jeans can make you feel like you are on top of the world. Also, to have someone give me advice on what looks good on me and have a model show me what it would look like, makes it that much easier and that much more fun. It takes the guess work out of it.

How can you pass up a fashion show with your girlfriends! I know I can't. We all need some mommy free time and not even for mommies but for every woman out there you need to do something for yourself sometimes and have a great girls day with your cloest friends. I have listed the information below for you. I hope to see you there!!!

Boppy 2011

As a new mommy one of the things that is a must have is a Boppy! They are amazing and are so helpful for so many different reason. Especially when you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding when they are newborns, it will help support them and make you feel more at ease. Of course one of the best things is that you can is pick out your favorite and stylish slipcovers for them. Even as your little one grows the Boppy can use for place for them to rest they head as you play with their feet and legs or for tummy time. When they need some support for sitting up or still a little wobbly with their sitting you can put the Boppy around them as an extra cushion when they start leaning.

Here is a few samples of some of the slipcovers you can pick from.

On the Boppy official website you can even build your own. You can pick from designer styles and textures and also from double styles or a solids colors.

You can also find great patterns at Babies’R’Us / Toys’R’Us or target. Check them out!!

February: Valentine Cookie Recipe

Okay, let's be honest, I haven't done much in Jan, trying to get my life back on track and I know I told you that I would be coming out you will ideas and reviews. Today I got sent an email about great easy valentines day recipes and I am very excited for this because you usually I make heart shaped sugar cookies and decorate them.

Really who does loves these??

or these??

is your mouth watering yet, because mine is.

here is the new recipe I will be trying this V Day:

Sugar Heart Sandwich Cookies

1 recipe Sugar Cookie Dough, at room temperature
6 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 tablespoon pomegranate juice
Small red sugar hearts, for decorating

Equipment: 2 1/4-inch round cookie cutter, 1 1/2-by-1-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter

Prepare dough as directed and chill for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Sprinkle a work surface and rolling pin with confectioner's sugar and roll out dough to 1/8-inch thick. Move dough frequently to prevent it from sticking and add more confectioner's sugar to the work surface and rolling pin as needed. With a 2 1/4-inch round cookie cutter, cut 72 dough rounds, re-rolling dough as needed. With a small heart-shaped cookie cutter (about 1 1/2-by-1-inch), cut hearts from the center of half the dough rounds. Place the rounds and cutouts about 1 inch apart on parchment -lined baking sheets. Bake until just set but not brown, about 6-8 minutes. Let cool on the pan slightly before transferring to a rack to cool completely.

Meanwhile, make the filling: In a small bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, butter, confectioner's sugar, and pomegranate juice until smooth and fluffy. Spread about 1 teaspoon filling on each round cookie and top with a cut-out cookie. Place a red candy heart in the center of each. Leftover filling can be used to sandwich the small hearts together.

I would love for you share some of your favorite valentines day treats with me!

Mini break

Hey everyone,

Sorry it has been a week or two...I have been going through some really tough personal things and haven't had my mind on blogging...but I figure maybe this the best way to keep me busy.

So I'm getting my ideas and everything and should be back in business soon.

I have missed you all.

Trading up sippy cups...

As you moms know going from the zippy cup ( even those with the pop straw) doesn't seem like s big deal to non parents but to us it means someting greater... It me and they are growing up. :(

Today while I was at Target picking up s few things, I walked down the sippy cup wall in baby/ kids section and realized few things:

one, I like seeing the design they have on the cups and if there's any we don't have.

Two, it wasvtime to get "big boy" cup with out straws and lids ( I can see the carpet now...) because for the past few days everyone I pour myself a glass of water or my diet iced tea LJ is right there wanting a sip. Of course you know that he has to do it all by himself, but he will share with mommy, if I don't take too long to drink it. He has great gross motor skills for this so that is exciting to see. He has been doing a great job not spilling and staying in the same spot to drink. So I thought it was about time to start giving him his only " big boy" cup.

The third and final thing I realized is that as I am trading up to big boy cups, many of my friend including my best friend are trading in their wine glasses for baby bottles...yes, it is pregnancy fever around me. I have so many friends that are pregnant or TTC I need both hands to count. I am sooo excited for them, most being first time mommies, and I love to hear about everything, it makes me realize how 2 years has flown by...thats right my little guy will be 2 in February. it also made me realize how great those moments of picking out all the new baby stuff was, and how every week your baby is growing and doing something different, the sonograms and seeing your baby on the screen is so exciting...I'm sure I could go on but I think you exactly what I mean.

I just feel so lucky to have my little man and learn what I have but always how blessed I am to bebable to go through the journey again with my friends and be their to support them, answer questions, and be partvof those joyous moments even in a small way. I know everyone will be amazing moms and dads!

So I wanted to say wheather you are trading up or trading in... It's all amazing. Can't wait to meet you babies of 2011!!

Motorcycle boots

As the winter season is in full swing so is the boots. First it started with the over knee boots but now it's on to a short look. The motorcycle boot has made an impression.

Try these styles with jennings, leggings of skinny jeans to show them off

Try on these from J.Crew ( $250) I like the brown because it's a good with anything color and the straps for a rustic look.

Another with a smaller price tag try these on from Dirty Laundry at Zappos or DSW ( $69.95). These are a nice deep red color that will give your outfit a pop.

The last ones you should try on are from ($99.95) right in the middle of the price range. These will give you a simple, classic look.

You wonder what you can wear with these besides jeans, leggings ( of any kind). Pair them with a dress with some bracelets or a scarf and go out and look fabulous
