Trading up sippy cups...

As you moms know going from the zippy cup ( even those with the pop straw) doesn't seem like s big deal to non parents but to us it means someting greater... It me and they are growing up. :(

Today while I was at Target picking up s few things, I walked down the sippy cup wall in baby/ kids section and realized few things:


one, I like seeing the design they have on the cups and if there's any we don't have.

Two, it wasvtime to get "big boy" cup with out straws and lids ( I can see the carpet now...) because for the past few days everyone I pour myself a glass of water or my diet iced tea LJ is right there wanting a sip. Of course you know that he has to do it all by himself, but he will share with mommy, if I don't take too long to drink it. He has great gross motor skills for this so that is exciting to see. He has been doing a great job not spilling and staying in the same spot to drink. So I thought it was about time to start giving him his only " big boy" cup.

The third and final thing I realized is that as I am trading up to big boy cups, many of my friend including my best friend are trading in their wine glasses for baby bottles...yes, it is pregnancy fever around me. I have so many friends that are pregnant or TTC I need both hands to count. I am sooo excited for them, most being first time mommies, and I love to hear about everything, it makes me realize how 2 years has flown by...thats right my little guy will be 2 in February. it also made me realize how great those moments of picking out all the new baby stuff was, and how every week your baby is growing and doing something different, the sonograms and seeing your baby on the screen is so exciting...I'm sure I could go on but I think you exactly what I mean.

I just feel so lucky to have my little man and learn what I have but always how blessed I am to bebable to go through the journey again with my friends and be their to support them, answer questions, and be partvof those joyous moments even in a small way. I know everyone will be amazing moms and dads!

So I wanted to say wheather you are trading up or trading in... It's all amazing. Can't wait to meet you babies of 2011!!

One Sunday afternoon my parents, Liam and I went on a trip to the animal park...it was hot but was definitely a lot of fun. LJ loves animals and couldn't wait to pet them!

His favorite part was when we got to going to the free roaming area...he had absolutely no fear of the animals.. he got in their faces and just chased them. The sheep was his favorite but they had no interested in them.. they only like Gammy because she had that cup of food...let me tell you, you want to get rid of that food right away.. those animals will not leave you alone until you give them everything.. even the cup! Some even jump up on you to get it.. i am not a fan of that.. but what can you do. One sheep in particular was so greedy.. we refused to give him even more than he had! HA!

We took a wagon ride down to the big pond, that was fun. You can fish out there...they were even having a competition at weekend..I am sure GPop was dying to fish but he controlled himself. On, the way back to the we got to see the Zebras :) When we got back, we left LJ play on the playground, he loved it.. it was very hard to get him to leave but he did a great job!

I would definitely bring him back there...when it is not so hot...it was great for all ages... all you moms out there...go check it out! It would be a great half day trip! ( they even having a changing table there outside..nice :) )

I know I have not posted in forever...

I know you are wondering " what has she been doing??" well I will tell you.. First off, i have been doing my online class that has just mentally shut me down by the time I put LJ down.

Speaking of LJ...he is great and has cute as ever. He now has hit that fun toddler age of 16 months and is into everything and anything that at eye level or close to it. He decided to get his last 4 teeth at the same time is week..so he is not exactly himself these past few days. He also has entered the phase of testing boundaries and not liking the word "no"..he is into throwing himself on the floor or so gracefully. Actually, tonight was the first time ever that I had to put him in time out... well really he needed time out twice...my little guy is growing up :( It made me sad to see him crying like that and the throwing his head back on the step above him when he was in time out but I got through it and he did too...so we will see what else he has up his sleeve...can't wait! ( sense the sarcasm). I don't know if this TMI but he has started to set on the big boy potty instead of the baby one..so I'm starting that process slowly...pray for me! Okay...enough about that, you want to know the fun stuff he has been up too.. well he got this awesome pirate water table that he absolutely loves!! He loves to get completely soaked and wants you to spray him with the hose and put water on his head...can you say..water.baby. Take a look at him in action.

He's a toddler now..no longing my baby baby....sigh...
